2015 Green Bay Packers Schedule

Every year the Packers always seem to be right there in the conversation not only about who is most likely to win the NFC North but the NFC Championship too and this year is no exception. At quarterback the Packers have Aaron Rodgers who is not only one of the best at the QB position but one of the best at any position, not only is he decisive and aggressive in his style of play with truly astonishing playmaking capabilities, he is the kind of player with the rare additional quality that he can take a team on his back and single handedly carry them forward to victories through sheer force of will. Last season the Packers had to deliver and did so by winning important games that got them into the playoffs. This year they look poised to get back to the post season once again and they hold all the cards so it will come down to their performance on the gridiron. They will need the support of their loyal fans who will surely snap up every single last ticket to fill up Lambeau Field for every exciting NFL game all season long. This will be a great year to watch the Packers go to work on the football field in their continuing hunt for a Super Bowl title.

As always, the divisional matchups are critical NFL games for the Packers to win in order to at the same time capture those all important wins whilst delivering their AFC North rivals a loss to put some distance between Green Bay and their divisional foes as they attempt to get to the top of the standings and secure some home games on the Frozen Tundra in the playoffs. Tickets to the big time matchups against division rivals Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions will be in short supply so fans will want to move fast to secure their vantage point to be there and show their support. These teams are going to come to town with vigor as they try to see their own playoff hopes stay alive and they know that they have to play their best against the Packers who are the team to beat in the AFC North. The intensity at these home games will be enormous and fans who can get out to see these football games will not be disappointed, not to mention all the other great matchups this year at Lambeau as every fan knows that each win is critical and this Packers team is so fun to watch in action from the stands.

And although home games in Green Bay are not to be missed, that is just the beginning for real Packers fans who are known to get out on the road and cheer for their team on foreign soil all over the country, as Green Bay has one of the largest fan bases in the league. Packers fans will make their presence known like usual by not only being seen but also hear making a lot of noise in the stands in Chicago, Detroit and Minneapolis, as well as at all the rest of the home and away games on the 2015 Green Bay Packers schedule. This is a fan base that knows the importance of coming away with a win in as many games as possible, whatever the cost, in their team’s quest to make it to the post season and attempt to capture football’s ultimate prize, the Super Bowl itself.

Green Bay Packers Team Details

There can be no dispute, Aaron Rodgers is this team’s leader, when he plays at his best, the Packers win the football game. Rodgers has been league MVP twice in his career and thankfully for Packers fans this incredible playmaker has more years ahead of him than in his rearview mirror so it is a fully reasonable expectation for Packers fans to have that a Super Bowl should be possible in any given year, they have already got to the big game once to so far with Rodgers conducting the offense. But while this prolific quarterback is the prime ingredient, no football team can be successful with just a quarterback on his own no matter how great he may be and the Packers are also lucky to have running back Eddie Lacy on the ground, and amazing aerial weapons such as Jordy Nelson at wide out, as well as a very capable defense which really has no weak link in the chain. This gives cheeseheads a lot to be proud of and plenty of reasons to get out to the stands this year to cheer on this amazingly good all around football team that will be sure to show off their dynamic abilities as they battle it out all season long in the hunt for a playoff spot and then to set their sights higher. Nothing is ever guaranteed and every win or loss is critical to not only make the playoffs in the ultra competitive NFL of today, but hopefully get a home game or two in the post season, so the Packers will look to their fans to get out and urge them on with their loud cheering and encouragement at every game.

Experience the NFL

Grab your tickets, break out your cheeseheads, and get ready to be a part of the history handed down from generation to generation at Lambeau Field every gameday this season. Week after week Packers fans are going to snatch up every available ticket and be out in droves to applaud the offensive powerhouse they have for a team this season and get in the heads of the visiting team when they are trying to convert those critical third downs late in the game. There is no stadium in the NFL with more history than Lambeau Field the home of the Green Bay Packers. Form the pre-game tailgate parties in the parking lot through to the game itself, right up to the final whistle this is just a party that can’t be missed. NFL games in Green Bay will be the talk of the town all season. Those fans lucky enough to follow the Packers at home and even on the road will be the envy of the rest of the Cheeseheads who will be stuck watching the spectacular catches and defensive stands on TV. Get out and be a part of the scene. You cannot match the fun of being at a Packers game in person.

Green Bay Packers Lore

How many NFL Championships have the Green Bay Packers won?

The answer is 13. The Packers have won four Super Bowls in total most recently following the 2010 season however going back to the beginning of franchise history the Packers have in fact won 13 NFL Championships altogether as Green Bay won the NFL Championship nine times in addition to its four Super Bowls. Under Curly Lambeau (does that name ring a bell?) the Packers secured six NFL Championships between 1929 and 1944. Then under Head Coach Vince Lombardi the Packers won five more between 1944 to 1967 including Super Bowls I and II which represented the first times that an NFL team played against AFL teams for ultimate dominion. When Coach Lombardi died suddenly in 1970 from cancer they renamed the Super Bowl trophy the Lombardi Trophy in honor of Coach Vince Lombardi, it had been up until that time called the Word Professional Championship Trophy. 1970 was also the year of the NFL-AFL merger which meant that teams from both leagues would play against each other in the regular season and not only in the Championship / Super Bowl game.

History of the Green Bay Packers

Tickets went on sale for Packers games nearly a century ago in 1919 and the team officially joined the NFL in 1921, making the Green Bay Packers the longest running NFL franchise to stay continuously in and operate from the same location with the same team name. The Packers were no more than a village team which was the norm in the NFL in the 20s and 30s in contrast to the league of today, most smaller towns like Green Bay could not support an NFL team and basically all the other small towns lost their franchises over the course of the last century. Green Bay remains a relatively small market to hold onto an NFL team compared to the rest of the teams in the National Football League owing to their incredible fan support. The only teams older than the Packers are the Chicago Bears (originally the Decatur Staleys) and the Arizona Cardinals (originally the Chicago Cardinals). The Bears - Packers rivalry is the most ancient rivalry in the NFL dating all the way back to 1921. There is literally no stadium in the National Football League with more history than Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Packers have been great at various times in their storied franchise history, and Packers fans have a lot to cheer about again these days with one of the best teams in the NFL in 2015. It is going to be fun to watch and see what chapters they can add to this historic tale.

Green Bay Packers Games Live

The Packers home is Lambeau Field which is not just the oldest and most famous stadium in pro football but probably the most well known stadium in all pro sports. The number of major games that have been played here is mind boggling to think about. The fans who come out to support their team in this place are second to none and the pride of the franchise. Fans in Green Bay know that you can’t experience a Packers game properly on a TV no matter how advanced the technology gets, you have to be there in person in the stands to truly appreciate the passion, anticipation and the overall spectacle that goes into each and every Packers football game. Fans can be the difference between a win and a loss in those close games down the stretch where the team needs that added encouragement or the opponent can use a little distraction, Green Bay fans do this better than anyone else. Those Green Bay fans who can secure tickets to any one of the Packers games this year and watch their squad as they wage war on the football field against the best teams in the NFL will be extremely fortunate as the Packers seem set to deliver another incredible run with rightfully high hopes and great expectations for this 2015 season. You will be on the edge of your seat along with tens of thousands of your fellow Packers fans and, as those in Green Bay already know, this is not something that you want to pass up.
