2015 Dallas Cowboys Schedule

The Cowboys offensive production was the key to their success last season, with the excellent signal calling abilities of quarterback Tony Romo who continues to prove that he is so underestimated by the critics. Wide receiver Dez Bryant displayed some truly mesmerizing performances last year and has to be one of the most athletically gifted players to have ever played in the NFL. Running back DeMarco Murray also assisted with amazing yards production to balance out the explosive Dallas offense however he left the team in the off season so the Cowboys will need somebody new to fill this void in 2015. It is fully reasonable for fans to have their eyes on another division title this year or at a minimum a Wild Card entry into the post season. How they perform at home will be the determining factor as they will need to win games to advance into the playoffs.

AT&T stadium will be rocking once again this year as the the Cowboys face off against some great teams including all their division rivals which include the New York Giants and Washington Redskins and of course the home game of the year for Dallas will be on November 8th against the Philadelphia Eagles who won the NFC East two years ago. The game against the Eagles will likely determine who takes the NFC East title this season, so fans will definitely be going nuts at a packed AT&T stadium for this one in particular. With DeMarco Murray assisting the young and talented quarterback Sam Bradford, the Eagles can strike on the ground and in the air. The game on November 8th will probably be what makes or breaks Cowboy’s hopes for a repeat division title this year. Should the Cowboys beat the Eagles in Dallas and also win home games against the Giants and Redskins they will be well on their way to achieving this goal. They also host the New England Patriots on October 11th which should prove to be a tremendously exciting show down between two of the leagues elite squads. The fans are going to pack AT&T Stadium for game after exciting game and you will count yourself lucky if you can get tickets to any Cowboys game this season and watch all the action as they take on the best teams in the NFL.

Dallas Cowboys Team Details

The Dallas Cowboys once again are stacked with talented players for the 2015 season. The Cowboys have in their leader Tony Romo a proven and reliable quarterback who is guaranteed to make some big passing plays when needed this season. With Dez Bryant at his disposal, Romo has a very reliable target to aim at also as, in terms of his athletic ability, Bryant has got to be just about the best that ever played the game of football. Romo can also look to his trusted veteran tight end Jason Witten for more reliable hands to pick up yards. The Cowboys are not lacking in offensive passing weapons although it remains to be seen what they can do with their ground game this year. On the other side of the ball, the Cowboys are going to need their defense to get the job done for them, and if they can do this then this year’s Cowboys team may be unstoppable.

Dallas Cowboys Lore

Who holds the NFL record for most consecutive years as a team's head coach?

This title is held by the great Tom Landry who was head coach of Dallas for 29 consecutive seasons. Under his tenure, the Cowboys won two Super Bowls (VI and VII) and five NFC titles. Dallas had an astouding 20 consecutive winning seasons with Coach Landry who led the Cowboys to play in 10 NFC Championship Games within 13 years and five Super Bowl appearances in the span of just nine years. In fact they were on television so much that they were dubbed “America’s Team” which name has stuck to this day. Tom Landry himself was unhappy with this nick name as he believed it caused other teams to get more angry and pumped up to play against the Cowboys and Landry was probably right because every time the Cowboys play at home or on the road their opponents bring their best against one of the most popular and winningest teams of all time.

Dallas Cowboys History

The Cowboys first entered the NFL as an expansion team in 1960. The record under Coach Tom Landry of 20 consecutive winning seasons is unchallenged to this day. After the Cowboys amazing success of the 1960s and 1970s and following the departure of Tom Landry from the helm, Dallas became a dynasty once again in the mid-1990s with the “triplets” Troy Aikman, Emmit Smith and Michael Irvin. Dallas shares the record for the most Super Bowl appearances with the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers at eight. The Cowboys hold the record for most consecutive home game sell-outs. Since 1990 they have sold out 160 consecutive games including home, road, and playoff games, so if you can get your hands on tickets to a Cowboys game these days you can rest assured that you are going to be at an event loaded with passion, drama and anticipation. The Cowboys are right where they want to be to be able to compete for the NFC East title again this year and set their sites on the ultimate prize once again.
